Chile’s Route 7, know as the Carretera Austral (Southern Road), is 1,240 km of patchwork road way that slices southward through prime Patagonian wilderness from Puerto Montt to Villa O’Higgins. Lonely fjords, misty rain forests and hanging glaciers, what more could you ask for?
