Carretera Austral, The Southern Road, Route 7. It’s a tough road by any name. This Chilean highway stretches 1,240 kilometres from Puerto Montt to Villa O’Higgins through Patagonia. Over six days we drove 734 kilometres of the Carretera and it was everything we hoped for and more.
