Valparaiso Photo Journal

Valparaiso is a major sea port, and also the official cultural capital of Chile. Known for its steep hills and street art, this old immigrant town may not be as flashy and new as its sister city Viña Del Mar, but it has far more character.

Our home in Valpo was an incredibly old and incredibly characterful house at the top of one of the many hills, know affectionately as “Villa Kunterbunt”. Which, we are pretty sure, was the name of Pippi Longstocking’s house from the Swedish children’s books.
